Mom Charged with Signing Kids’ Ballots

A Park Township woman faces a felony charge after election officials say she signed and returned absentee ballots for her two adult children.

Staff noticed the signatures on the August primary return envelopes didn’t match the children’s voter records but resembled their mother’s. Neither ballot was counted.

Township Clerk Joan Zeerip said Christine Rekar admitted signing the ballots but said her daughter had given her permission. The absentee ballot tampering charge carries up to five years in prison.

“Your ballot is yours only and no one can vote that ballot for you,” Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck said. Rekar is due in circuit court Oct. 26.

Nassar Was Never on the Registry

Larry Nassar was never on the registry, Michigan State Police say, contradicting viral reports that a court ruling had removed him from Michigan’s list of sex offenders.

The Eaton County Prosecutor’s Office posted that Nassar was among more than 20,000 offenders removed after a Michigan Supreme Court ruling. State police said that’s incorrect.

Offenders not living, working, or imprisoned in Michigan don’t have to register, and Nassar is serving a federal sentence out of state.

He’d be added if he ever returned to a Michigan prison. The prosecutor’s office is run by Doug Lloyd, the Republican candidate for attorney general.

Michigan Loses 100th Jug Battle

Michigan lost the 100th game played for the Little Brown Jug, falling 20-14 at Minnesota after its offense went scoreless in the second half.

The Wolverines led 14-7 at halftime before Bryce Underwood threw two second-half interceptions. It was Minnesota’s first home win over Michigan since 1977, and Gophers fans stormed the field.

Michigan State fell 31-3 at Wisconsin after coming up empty on five fourth-down tries, and backup quarterback Cam Fancher left with an injury.

The losses dropped Michigan to 3-2 and 0-2 in the Big Ten, while the Spartans fell to 2-3 with their third straight loss.

Doctor unveils dark bone broth secret (avoid now)

If you think bone broth is a great way to get collagen, think again.

According to a former surgeon, animal bones are known for absorbing heavy metals.

This can potentially lead to brain fog, fatigue, or even muscle weakness.

That’s why he recommends a “collagen reset technique” instead.

To his knowledge, it’s the only technique that can help your body build its own collagen.

Anyone can do it without drinking broths.

California Surgeon: “Muscle Loss in Seniors is Real, But It Doesn’t Have to Be”

If you think collagen is only for supporting healthier skin, hair, and nails, think again.

Not only does it play a role in holding the teeth in your mouth, keeping your heart walls intact, and reinforcing your gut lining…

It’s also what allows you to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities without getting tired.

But unfortunately, eating more collagen isn’t the answer.

That’s why Dr. Steven Gundry has created what he calls the “collagen reset technique.”

And to his knowledge, it’s the only technique that’s designed to help your body build its own collagen.
